• Buffalo can run at a top speed of 35 mph. They can easily outrun a horse, so we use ATVs for our roundups.

• Buffalo eat less than cows, even though they can weigh more. A wild buffalo's digestive system has not been alterated by man, so they process nutrients very efficiently.

• Buffalo don't need vitamin supplements, hay or grain when raised in a natural pasture environment. They move every three days to find fresh grass.

• The buffalo's metabolism slows down considerably in the winter. When it snows, they use their large heads to move the snow to find grass.
